Mary Frances Taylor Welborn

Pendleton, SC - Mary Frances Taylor Welborn, 86, widow of J.C. Welborn, died Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca.

Born September 1, 1928 in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Viola Watson Taylor. Mrs. Welborn worked for a number of years at Myers-Arnold Department Store and later worked in the library at Anderson University. She was a member of Six & Twenty Baptist Church where she was very active as long as her health permitted.

Survivors include her son, Bob Welborn and wife, Debbie of Murfreesboro, TN; her daughter, Robin W. Goldsmith and husband, Jimmy of New Orleans, LA; her granddaughter, Megan Goldsmith Walker of New Orleans, LA; and her sister, Evelyn Easterling of Greenville.

In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Taylor, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Six & Twenty Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Douglas Goss and Rev. Willie Honea. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. Friday at the church. The family is at the residence.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Six & Twenty Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 3701 Six & Twenty Road, Pendleton, SC 29670.
