SUSIE NELL LEDBETTER

ANDERSON, SC - Susie Nell Collier Ledbetter, age 82, of 150 Clinkscales Road, widow of Alvin Morris Ledbetter, died peacefully on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at her residence.
Born in Stephens County, GA on November 21, 1927, Mrs. Ledbetter was a daughter of the late Charlie Chandler Collier and Delia Garland Collier. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church and a former member of The Order of the Eastern Star, Starr Chapter #228.
Survivors include her children, Patricia McAllister and Brenda Wentzky, both of Anderson, SC and Dale Ledbetter of Starr, SC: brother, Fletcher Collier of Charlotte, NC; sister, Melba McCurry of Toccoa, GA; five grandchildren, Sherry Elgin, Kristy Powell, Jennifer Graham, Heather Simpson and Jimmy McAllister and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by four brothers, Harvey Lee Collier, C. C. Collier, John Collier and Grady Collier and three sisters, Pauline Woods, Millie Payne and Eunice Stephens.
The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, October 24, 2010 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Betty Murphy. Interment will follow in South Lawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:30 pm until 2:30 pm.
