State Trooper Funeral Set for Wednesday

FAMILY, FRIENDS AND FELLOW TROOPERS TO HONOR LIFE OF JONATHAN S. NASH DURING FUNERAL SERVICE AT CIVIC CENTER

ANDERSON COUNTY –A funeral service honoring SC Trooper Jonathan S. Nash has been scheduled for 11 am on Wednesday, September 23 at the Civic Center of Anderson. Trooper Nash, a native Andersonian was killed during a memorial motorcycle ride for fellow, fallen officer, Trooper Hardy M. Godbold, who was killed in the line of duty in 1992.

Trooper Nash’s was part of a Highway Patrol escort for the charity ride when his motorcycle was struck by a car. Nash, a resident of Union County, joined the Highway Patrol in 1994. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1986-93.

He is survived by his parents, Dan and George-Ann Nash, both of Anderson, and a 14-year-old daughter.
