Jean W. O’Barr
Friday, July 10, 2015 at 7:39PM Anderson, SC - Jean Wilson O’Barr, 76, of 412 Blair Street, widow of Marion Horace O’Barr, died Thursday, July 9, 2015 at the Rainey Hospice House.
Born March 25, 1939 in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Horace M. and Zadie Greer Wilson. She was a graduate of Anderson College, a homemaker and worked at WAIM for several years. Mrs. O’Barr was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church and previously was a longtime member of Concord Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Marion Gregory O’Barr and wife, Janna of Monroeville, PA, Timothy Randolph O’Barr and Ryan Wilson O’Barr and wife, Dana of Anderson; and three grandchildren, Carly Christen O’Barr, Jonah Monroe O’Barr and Justin Martin O’Barr.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, H. Randolph Wilson.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Saturday at Sullivan-King Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Bob Marcaurelle. Burial will follow in New Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11:45 a.m. Saturday at the mortuary. The family is at the residence.
