Clara McClain
Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 8:33AM Central - Clara Evelyn Hanks Jones McClain, 91, of Old Greenville Hwy, widow of J. Ralph McClain, passed away Monday, June 22, 2015 at Summit Place Healthcare.
Born October 19, 1923 in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Romus O. and Dora Mobley Hanks. She was a retired bookkeeper at Builders Supply and member of Sandy Springs United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Alice "Bobbie" Overstreet of Central; son, Charles T. Jones of Iva; 5 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and sister, Pauline Hanks Mize of Anderson.
Funeral service will be held at 2pm Thursday at Sullivan-King Mortuary with Rev. Cy Rogers and Dr. Dan Batson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2pm prior to the service at Sullivan-King Mortuary, 3205 N. Hwy 81. Burial will be at Southlawn Memorial Gardens. The family is at their respective homes.
