Charles Howard Campbell

Anderson, SC - Charles Howard Campbell, 92, husband of the late Mildred Bowen Campbell, died Thursday, May 28, 2015 at NHC of Anderson.

Born June 6, 1922 in Jefferson, Georgia, he was the son of the late James Reece and Leila Mangum Campbell. Mr. Campbell retired from N-D Fabrics and had previously worked for 23 years with the Anderson City Police and Fire Department. He was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Jody Campbell of Honea Path; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, C.T., Reece, Homer, James Alton and Thomas Franklin Campbell and three sisters, Mary Lou Nix, Annie Barksdale and Kathryn McKoy.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Sullivan-King Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Tom Turner. Burial will follow in the New Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Prospect Baptist Church, 2503 Whitehall Road, Anderson, SC 29625.
