Vivian B. Haynie
Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 7:06PM Anderson, SC - Vivian Broadwell Haynie, 78, of Anderson, wife of Buford Harrison Haynie, Jr. died Tuesday March 3, 2015 at her residence.
Born June 6, 1936 in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Mattie Lee Broadwell. Mrs. Haynie was very active in many community activities as well as serving on several committees at her church, New Prospect Baptist Church. She was a past president of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Mrs. Haynie was a devoted Christian, and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her total joy in life was serving Jesus and her family.
Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Buford Haynie of the home; son, Donald Haynie (Donna); daughter, Susan Wham (Lynn) all of Anderson; grandchildren: Brandon Harrison Haynie (Gretchen), Meredith Haynie Ackerman (Bud), Amanda Haynie Hayes (Shane), Mallory Haynie, Lyndsey Wham Cole (Matt), Haley Wham Walker (Joe), and Maggie Wham Kittredge (Will). She was blessed by her 12 precious great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Calvin Monroe Broadwell.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday March 5, 2015 at New Prospect Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Smith officiating. Burial will be in New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Sullivan-King Mortuary, 3205 N. Hwy 81.
The family will be at the home of the son Don Haynie.
