ANDERSON, SC - Brittany “Baby Girl” Marie Fortner, age 22 of 302 Cherokee Street, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, May 17, 2010.
Born in Greenville County, SC, Brittany was the daughter of Tommy Ray Fortner and Cathy Vollrath Fortner. She was a 2006 graduate of Westside High School and a 2010 graduate of Tri-County Technical College, earning an Associate Degree in Applied Science with a Major in Administrative Office Technology. She worked at BiLo Grocery Stores for the past five years at Lakeside and Highway 24 locations. She was a dedicated member of Impact Outreach, formerly Orrville Pentecostal Holiness Church and was very active in the “Fired Up” Ministries. Brittany was dedicated to her Lord, church, work, school and family.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, Chris Fortner and his wife, Lee Ann; paternal grandparents, Arthur Glenn and Debra Fortner; maternal grandparents, James and JoAnn Vollrath. Brittany was the beloved aunt of Ans-Lee and Hunter Fortner.
She was predeceased by her grandmother, Linda Ann Fortner.
The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 21, 2010 at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Justin Holder and Reverend Stanley Vollrath. Interment will follow in New Silver Brook Cemetery.
The family will be at the home of her parents and will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
