Elizabeth Ayers

October 13, 1994—March 13, 2010

Pendleton, SC- Miss Elizabeth Sue Ayers, age 15, of 1324 Moorehead Place, died Saturday, March 13, 2010 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of Tripp Ayers and Natasha McClellan Ayers and sister of James Ayers. Elizabeth was a freshman at Pendleton High School, where she was involved in JV Soccer, JV Cheerleading, cross-country running and was enrolled in honors classes. She was also active in the youth group at First Baptist Church of Pendleton.

Survivors include her parents and brother of the home; maternal grandparents, James and Judy McClellan of Marshville, NC; paternal grandmother, Pat Ayers of Simpsonville, SC; great-grandmother, Helena McClellan of Oakboro, NC; aunts, Lana Campbell and Lori Schweers.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Stoy and Agnes Hinson, Helen and Wofford Ayers, and Frank McClellan.

The funeral service will be held at 4PM on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Pendleton officiated by Reverends Courtney Krueger and Jeremy Cook. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will be at the residence and will receive friends Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at The McDougald Funeral Home from 6pm-8pm. Elizabeth will be placed in the church at 3:30pm on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorials be made to Pendleton High School, Athletic Booster Club Scholarship Fund, in memory of Elizabeth Ayers, PO Box 869, Pendleton, SC 29670.

THE McDOUGALD FUNERAL HOME is in charge of the arrangements.
