CINDY H. STONER

SEPTEMBER 18, 1958 – OCTOBER 25, 2010

BELTON, SC – Cynthia “Cindy” Hopkins Stoner, wife of Aubrey Lane Stoner, passed away on Monday, October 25, 2010, at the Rainey Hospice House. 

Born in Anderson County on September 18, 1958, she was the daughter of James Roy Hopkins of Anderson and Clara Taylor Hopkins of Belton.  Mrs. Stoner retired from DHEC and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Belton. 

In addition to her parents, her survivors include her husband, Aubrey Lane Stoner, of the home; a son, Travis James Stoner and wife, Dana of Anderson; a daughter, Cristy Lane Stoner of Greenwood; a sister, Carol Lusk and husband, Dennis of Honea Path; grandfather, Dillard Smith of Honea Path; aunts: Willie Shaw and husband, Wallace of Belton, Dot Mize of Anderson, Geraldine Gambrell and Audrey Greenway, both of Honea Path; and special friends, Debbie and Jay Turner.

The Funeral Service will be held at 3pm on Thursday, October 28, 2010, at the First Baptist Church of Belton, conducted by the Reverend T. Dale Lynch. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home from 6pm until 8pm on Wednesday. 

Memorials may be made to the Cancer Association of Anderson, 215 East Calhoun Street, Anderson, SC 29624, or to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
