Observer Reports
It's no secret that Anderson has seen a spike in rental housing over the past year. But Dwellsy, a home rental platform where renters can find houses, townhomes, condos, and apartments—for rent, lists Anderson as third in the largest increase in rent prices between 2021 and 2022, a staggering 117.8 percent. The median monthly rent price in the city is now $1,960.
The population growth, popularity of the reason and short supply of rental properties are among reasons for the increase.
