Lois Thomas

Anderson, SC - Lois Irene Davis Thomas, 83, widow of E.V. Thomas, made her journey to Heaven Wednesday, March 23, 2016. 

Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Roy A. and Millie Loudermilk Davis. In her earlier years she enjoyed her flower garden and in later years she loved feeding and watching the birds. Lois had a beautiful soprano voice and was remembered by her children and family singing in church. Although she will be greatly missed here, she has reached her final destination to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Temple. 

Survivors include three sons, Drew Hudgens of Starr, Richard Hudgens and wife, Cindy of Anderson, and Steve Hudgens and wife, Janie of Starr; one daughter, Millie Stevenson and husband, Michael of Starr; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Jo Swinford of Anderson. 

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy L. Davis and a sister, Jackie Fellers. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Sullivan-King Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Sam Duncan. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. Family members are at their respective homes. 

Flowers are optional; memorials may be made to Ark Hospice, 101 Grace Drive, Easley, SC 29640.
