Vivian Martin Morris
Greenville, SC - Vivian Elizabeth Martin Morris, 96, widow of Jesse Lee Morris, Jr., died Sunday, February 8, 2015 at her residence.
Born October 14, 1918 in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Lester C. and Sallie Jane Tollison Martin. She worked as Principal Hiram Sandlin’s secretary at Girl’s High School for several years. She was a member of Earle Street Baptist Church in Greenville and was a former member of First Baptist Church in Anderson.
Survivors include her children, J.R. “Randy” Morris and wife, Mimi of Sandy Springs; Sallie Chavous and husband, Crawford of Spartanburg; Tim Morris and wife, Casey of Peachtree City, Ga; ten grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and two sisters, Connie Martin Sack of Michigan and Bessie Martin Dowling of Greenville.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James F. Martin and a sister, Edna Martin Hunter.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, February 13, 2015 at Sullivan-King Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Greg Dover. The family will have a reception for family and friends following the service at the home of Randy and Mimi Morris, 101 Calhoun Avenue, Sandy Springs.
Flowers are optional; memorials may be made to the church or charity of choice.
