Sara Cox
Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 7:47PM Williamston, SC - Sara Smith Cox, 88, of 407 Firetower Rd., widow of the late Leland M. Cox, died Thursday February 13, 2014 at her residence.
Born April 17, 1925 in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Hokie Mullikin Smith. She was a graduate of White Plains High School and was a secretary at Martin and Martin Auction. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Surviving are her grandchildren: Donnie Stang and wife Mandy of Honea Path, and Debra Stang; sister, Ruth McPherson and godson, Richard Norris all of Williamston. She was preceded in death by daughter, Linda Cox Stang and brothers, Roy and Furman Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, at Sullivan-King Mortuary, 3205 Hwy 81 North with Revs. Dale Hart and Chris Huff officiating. Burial will be at Beaverdam Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the service. The family is at their respective homes.
