John W. McClure

Anderson, SC - John William McClure, 63, husband of Karen O. McClure, died Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at his residence.

Born January 18, 1951 in Anderson, he was the son of the late Cecil Randolph Mcclure, Sr. and Mary "Peggy" Thrasher McClure.  He was a graduate of the University of South Carolina and was Human Resource Manager at World Acceptance Corporation in Greenville. An avid golfer and fisherman, he was a member of Boscobel Golf Club and Bassmasters. Mr. McClure attended Midway Presbyterian Church. 

Survivors include his wife, Karen of the home; three daughters, Susan M. McClure of Greenville, Katie McClure Brown and husband, David of Anderson, and Emily Gayle McClure and husband, Matthew Gratz of New York; one son, John Nathanial McClure of Scranton, PA; two grandchildren, Thomas Brown and Mycah McClure; and one brother, Richard P. McClure and wife, Ana of Key Largo, FL.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Cecil Randolph "Randy" McClure, Jr. 

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Trinity United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Mary V. Teasley. Burial will follow in Townville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Sullivan-King Mortuary. The family is at the residence.
