HAROLD MAKISON

ANDERSON - Harold Makison, 86, of 403 Binewood Lane, husband of Armina Lee Makison, passed away Monday, September 9, 2013 at his residence.

Born June 23, 1927 in Anderson, he was the son of the late Guy Makison and late Clara McKee Makison Nation. Harold was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. He was the owner and operator of Hal's Plumbing Company and member of Trinity United Methodist Church.  

Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Armina Lee Makison of the home; 2 daughters, Ann Thomas and her husband Rodney of Lancaster and Carla Whiten and her husband, Charles of Anderson; 7 grandchildren, John Cleveland, Kevin Clamp, Randy Thomas (Shelia), Steven Thomas (Stacy), Chris Davis (Sommer), Hal Davis and Stephanie Mosley; and 8 great grandchildren. Harold was preceded in death by his daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia Lee Makison Mulneix (Darrel); brother, Edward F. Makison and sister, Helen Robinson. 

Funeral service will be held at 2pm Thursday at Sullivan-King Mortuary with Rodney Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum with honor guard provided by the Campbell Patriots. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2pm prior to the service at the Mortuary, 3205 Hwy 81 N. The family is at the residence.  

The family would like to thank all the wonderful caregivers and would like to suggest memorials be made to Interim Healthcare Hospice, 155 Deacon Tiller Ct, Duncan, SC 29334.
