In addition to his parents, Mr. Hawkins was preceded in death by 2 sons, Walter David Hawkins, Jr., and Roger D. Crider. Being the last surviving member of his immediate family he was preceded in death by all of his brothers and sisters.

The funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Walter D. Hawkins, Sr. will be held on Monday, July 22, 2013, at 2 PM at the Chapel of the McDougald Funeral Home, with Rev. Carroll Plemmons officiating.  Interment will follow at M.
