DOUGLAS "BO" POORE
Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 3:59PM ANDERSON - Douglas Eugene "Bo" Poore, 72, of 2513 McKinley Drive, husband of the late Carolyn Vaughn Poore, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born June 14, 1940 in Anderson, he was the son of the late Fred Poore and the late Beatrice Simmons Poore Redd. He was the owner and operator of Anderson Sheet Metal and member of the Anderson Elk's Lodge B.P.O.E. 1206. Bo was a member of Concord Baptist Church.
Surviving are his 2 sons, Tony Poore and Chris Poore (Frances); daughter, Brigitte Poore; granddaughters, Siena Poore and Mandy Poore Shedd; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Jackie Poore (Donna) and a sister, Glinda Poore all of Anderson.
A graveside service will be held at 11am Friday at New Silver Brook Cemetery with Rev. Weldon Sellers officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 8pm at Sullivan-King Mortuary, 3205 Hwy 81 N.
The family is at the home of the son, Chris Poore, 121 Foxcroft Way, Anderson.
