April 20, 1951 – March 24, 2013

James Franklyn “Jimmy” Bradley, Jr., age 61, of the Baptist Faith, passed away at home on Sunday, March 24, 2013.  Born in Coral Gables, FL, he was the son of the late J. Frank Bradley and the late Betty McCormack Bradley.  For 40 years he was the loving and devoted husband of Nancy A. Bradley.  Jimmy loved to travel and to seek out new adventures and unique eateries.  He treasured sunny afternoons attending Clemson football games and was a lifelong fan of Southern Gospel music.

Left to carry on his legacy, in addition to his wife, Nancy, are twin sons, Kyle Thomas Bradley and his wife, Melanie, of Decatur, GA, and Kirk Timothy Bradley and his wife, Amy, of Charlotte, NC; a sister Jill Elizabeth Dance and her husband, John, of Newnan, GA; and four grandchildren, Reese, Zoe, Davis, and Cole Bradley.  In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Scarlett Bradley.

A Memorial Service to celebrate and honor Jimmy’s life will be held for family and friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Dwight Greene officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home at 10 AM.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311 (www.diabetes.org).

A message of condolence may be sent by visiting www.mcdougaldfuneralhome.com.
