BILL KEITH

May 15, 1938 – March 22, 2013

TOWNVILLE, SC - Billy Joe Keith, age 74, of 1100 Old Dobbins Bridge Road, Townville, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2013 at the Rainey Hospice House.

Born in Dayton, TN, he was the son of the late Hubert Keith and the late Clancy Irene Wycoff Keith.  He proudly served his country for 21 years in the United States Air Force retiring as a Tech Sargent.  Following his military service, he then became employed with Clemson University, later retiring after 30 years of service.  Bill was a faithful member of Barnett’s Grove Cathedral of Love.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Barbara Sue Myers Keith of the home; three sons, Darren Robert Keith of Clearwater, FL, Billy Joe Keith, Jr. of Townville, SC and Brett Keith and his wife Katie of Townville, SC; two brothers, Kenneth and Robert Keith; three sisters, Sherry Olinger, Darlene Hale and Debra Self; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Lynn Keith and a brother, Donald Keith.

The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at Barnett’s Grove Cathedral of Love  on Monday, March 25, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2013 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of The Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton, TN. Interment will follow in Buttram Cemetery in Dayton, TN. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621, or to Barnett’s Grove Cathedral of Love, 5525 Highway 187, Anderson, SC, 29625.
