MILDRED COPELAND REID  

ANDERSON - Mildred Copeland Reid, 97, of 4067 Anderson Mill Road, Spartanburg, formerly of Kates Street, Anderson, widow of Ben W. Reid, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born May 22, 1915 in Belton, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Fred and Miriam Fowler Copeland. She was a retired employee of Equinox Mill and was a member of Duncan Church of Christ.

Survivors include two daughters, Nettie R. Kinley of Spartanburg and Wilma Stuart of Killeen, TX; eight grandchildren; a number of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Mary Ellen Eustace and Linda Gail Beaty; one sister, Nettie Breazeale; and three brothers, A.F. Copeland, Jr., Billy Copeland, and Richard Copeland.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Sullivan-King Mortuary Chapel conducted by Evangelist Jon Mitchell and Elder Michael White. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary, 3205 North Highway 81, Anderson. The family is at the residence in Spartanburg.

Flowers are optional; memorials may be made to Southeastern Children's Home, 115 Children's Way, Duncan, SC 29334.
