MARIAN COX BROWN WATSON

ANDERSON - Marian Cox Brown Watson, 84, of 1624 Sandy Hollow, died Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at AnMed Health Medical center.
Born January 17, 1928 in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late James Claude and Ethel Bowlan Cox. Mrs. Watson was an active member of Boulevard Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Mellie Brown Jones and husband, Sam of Starr; two sons, Sid Brown and wife, Renee' of Anderson, and Philip D. Brown of Piedmont; son-in-law, A. Fred Stringer, Jr. of Anderson; grandchildren, Dawn M. Robertson and husband, Lee; Sally J. McKee and husband, Kevin and children, Sydney, Axel, and Lexi; Dylan T. Jones and wife, Jenny and daughter, Ella; and Jessica M. Blanding and husband, Leslie and sons, Kaden, Blake, and Braxton. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was twice married, first to the late George S. (Joe) Brown and second to the late William E. Watson and was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanie Brown Stringer.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Boulevard Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Jack Couch. Burial will follow in Flat Rock Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Sullivan-King Mortuary, Northeast Chapel, 3205 North Highway 81, Anderson. The family is at the residence.
