RICK MONROE

ANDERSON, SC – Richard Joe Monroe, age 55, of 100 Pine Needle Trail, passed away at his home.

Born March 24, 1956, in Anderson, SC, he was a son of Beth Clara Murphree Monroe Free and the late Joe Earl Monroe.  He was a graduate of Westside High School and Tri-County Technical College.   Mr. Monroe was a former automotive parts sales manager and member of West Anderson Church of God.

In addition to his mother, he  is survived by a brother, Danny Earl Monroe; a nephew, William Daniel Monroe; a niece, Sarah Elizabeth Monroe, all of Anderson, SC; and stepfather, Robert Free and family.

The Funeral Service will be held at 2pm on Sunday, August 21, 2011, at West Anderson Church of God conducted by the Reverend John M. Daniel and the Reverend Mark Daniel. Interment will follow at Oconee Memorial Park, Seneca.

The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home from 6pm until 8pm on Saturday.
