ANDERSON, SC - Shirley Jean Horne Wooten, age 65, of 3549 Keys Street, wife of the late Bobby Larry Wooten, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2011, at her residence.
Born November 30, 1945, in Anderson, SC, she was a daughter of the late Mammie Sue Horne.
She was retired from Wamsutta Plant, Spring Industries, where she worked for many years. She was a member of Trinity Spring Church of God and taught the children’s Sunday school for many years.
She is survived by her sons: Larry Wooten of Iva, SC, Scottie Wooten and his wife, Louise, of Starr , SC; grandchildren: Christopher Colley and Jonathon Holley; great-grandchildren: Braydon Colley and Tucker Colley. In addition to her husband and mother, she was predeceased by her aunt and uncle, Annie Mae and Oscar “Nip” Roach.
The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 30,2011, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by the Reverend James Patterson and Reverend Scott Vaughn. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family is at the home, 3549 Keys Street, and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 29, 2011, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
