SUE HARDY

JUNE 25, 1926 – NOVEMBER 12, 2011
STARR, SC – Annie Sue Bramlett Hardy, age 85, wife of the late Jim Elree Hardy, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2011.
Born June 25, 1926, in Gaston County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Rufus Barnger Bramlett and Beulah Wize Feltman Bramlett. Mrs. Hardy retired from the textiles industry having been employed by Orr-Lyons Mill. She was a member of various organizations and clubs within Orr-Lyons, namely the Good Neighbor Club, the Woodchoppers Camping Club, and numerous sewing clubs. In earlier years, she was active within the Eastern Star and as a Cub Scout Leader. Mrs. Hardy was a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons: Doyle Hardy & wife, Deborah, of Starr, SC, and Ted Hardy & wife, Melanie, of Starr, SC; sister, Mary Elizabeth King of Dacula, GA; six grandchildren: Renee Blanton, Jonathan Hardy, Tina Marie Hardy, Kacie Hardy, Joshua Hardy, and Brayden Stevenson; and four great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, James Cary Bramlett.
The Funeral Service will be held at 3pm on Tuesday, November 15, 2011, at Flat Rock Baptist Church conducted by the Reverend Ed Hunsinger and the Reverend Larry Cox. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family is the home of Doyle & Deborah Hardy, 430 Hayes Road, Starr, and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home from 6pm until 8pm on Monday.
