ROBENA BAILEY CHARPING
Monday, January 3, 2011 at 10:04PM ANDERSON, SC - Robena Bailey Charping, age 95, passed away January 2, 2011. Born March 2, 1915 in Hartwell, GA, she was the last living descendent of Stonewall Jackson Bailey and Georgia Moore Bailey Whitworth. She was a homemaker and a member of Flat Rock Presbyterian Church. She had many friends.
Robena is survived by six grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She is also survived by her great nephews and nieces, James and Danny Alexander of Elberton, GA; Hazel Cannon of Bowersville, GA, Carolyn Maroney of Williamston, SC and Dorothy Sloan of Asheville, NC; all children of the late Cornelia Alexander, her niece.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John Henry Charping; sons, Cecil and Horace Charping and sister, Ada Mae Charping.
The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Sanders Reed. Interment will follow in Iva City Cemetery.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 pm until 2:30 pm.
