GEORGE CLINTON PHILLIPS
Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at 10:17PM ANDERSON - George Clinton Phillips, 64, of 900 Shirley Store Road, died Sunday, January 16, 2011.
Born June 7, 1946 in Anderson, he was the son of the late Ray and Janie Rowland Phillips. He was a mechanic with Anderson Armor Car.
Surviving are his wife, Judith "Judy" Strickland Phillips of the home; 6 sons, Ray, Heath, Fred, Frank, Jimmy and Brandon Phillips; 2 daughters, Sharon James and Lynn Dalton; 17 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, John, Harold and David Phillips and 3 sisters, Faye Edwards, Kathy Jones and Jo Bryant. He was preceded in death by a brother, Carroll Phillips.
Funeral service will be held 2pm Wednesday at Sullivan-King Mortuary, Northeast Chapel with Revs. Alex Henderson and Ted Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2pm prior to the service at the Northeast Chapel, 3205 Hwy 81 N. The family is at the residence.
Flowers are accepted, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
