VIRGINIA D. COX

AUGUST 7, 1928 – MAY 9, 2010

CAMDEN, SC – Virginia Dean Cox, age 81, of 1613 Broad Street, Camden, SC, and formerly of 405 Woodlake Road, Anderson, SC, passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2010, at her home.

Born in Detroit, MI, on August 7, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Frank Dean & Minnie Martin Dean.  She was a homemaker and had formerly been employed by Anesco and Owens-Corning Fiberglas Plant. 

Survivors include her two sons: Glenn Lee Cox and wife, Vickie Brown of Columbia, TN, and Daniel Francis Cox and wife, Donna Cox of Camden, SC; sisters: Gwen Ragnone of Portland, OR, and Elaine Moon of Pelzer, SC; brother, Ron Dean of Pelzer, SC; five grandchildren: Glenn Cox, Brandon Cox, Bradley Cox, Tara Galloway, and Chase Galloway; four great grandchildren: Will Cox, Campbell Grace Cox, Emily Cox, and Ella Cox.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Dan Cox; a son, Wayne J. Cox; and a brother, Mel V. Dean 

The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home, Anderson, from 1:30 pm until 2:30 pm on Sunday, May 16, 2010.  The Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by the Reverend Stan Candler.  Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
