VIVIAN WATSON

May 4, 1919 – April 7, 2010

FAIR PLAY, SC - Vivian Marie Rumsey Watson, age 90, wife of the late Edward Hampton Watson, died Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at Country Christian Care in Fair Play, SC.

Born in Reed Creek, GA, she was a daughter of the late Wofford Henry Rumsey and Quillie Cecile Craft Rumsey.  She retired from textiles with Milliken at Abbeville Mills.  Mrs. Watson was an avid gardener, enjoyed fishing and was well known for her macaroni pie.  She was a member of Orrville Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons, Henry E. Watson and his wife, Susan, and L. Richard Watson and his wife, Sherry, all of Seneca, SC and James Wesley Rumsey and his wife, Lillian of Walhalla, SC; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, Jimmy Ray Watson and three sisters.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2010, at 11:00 am at The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel officiated by the Reverend Dr. Wendell Bannister.  Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm.

Flowers are optional.  Memorials may be made to Orrville Baptist Church, 2620 S. Main Street, Anderson, SC 29624.
