GLENN D. ROBERTS

OCTOBER 25, 1942 – JANUARY 8, 2010
 
CHICAMAUGA, GA – Glenn Douglas Roberts, age 67, of 146 Dana Lane, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2010, at Memorial Health Care in Chattanooga, TN.
 
Born on October 25, 1942, in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Sam Daniel Roberts and Mary Brown Roberts.  He graduated from Townville High School and was a retired Insurance Agent.  Mr. Roberts was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church in Anderson and in recent years enjoyed collecting guitars.
 
Survivors include his wife of nearly forty-five years, Jackie Roach Roberts of the home; his brother, Bill Roberts of Starr, SC; and his mother-in-law, Hortense Roach of Anderson, SC.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Dan Roberts & Jack Roberts.
 
The Funeral Service will be held at 12:30 pm on Monday, January 11, 2010, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by the Reverend Charles Allen.  Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
 
The family is at the home of Hortense Roach, 500 Concord Road, Apt. B-4, Anderson, and will receive friends from 5pm until 8pm on Sunday, January 10, 2010.
 
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Memorial Tribute Processing Center, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, Virginia 23058.
