Larry James Baker

ANDERSON- Larry James Baker went to be with his Lord, surrounded by his family, December 30, 2009. 

Born February 25, 1943 in Wabash, IN, he was the son of the late Robert and Virginia Baker. Larry retired from GenCorp Automotive, Marion, IN, in 1998 after 37 years of service.  Following his retirement he moved to Anderson where he became active in NewSpring Church.  Larry served in the greeting ministry. He never met a stranger and was always seeking ways to help others.  He had a true servant's heart.  He loved mowing yards for his neighbors and enjoyed helping in local organizations. 

He is survived by his wife, Debra Baker, of the home, 3 daughters, Monika (Rick) Hollars, IN, Karri (Heath) Peterson, SC and Krystal (Benjamin) Moorman, Utah; one son, Scott Baker, IN, 1 granddaughter, Megan, Hollars, 3 grandsons, Matthew and Noah Peterson and Benjamin Moorman, 3 brothers, Norman (Bea) Baker, Kenneth (Melinda)Baker, and Buster (Frankie) Baker, 2 sisters, Madalyn (Bill) Swain, Elizabeth (Henry) Adams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnalyn Baker. 

There will be an open house Celebration of Larry’s life on January 13, 2010 from 6 to 8 pm at the home, 1412 Old Ivy Rd, Anderson.
