RUBY CLARK JOHNSON
Thursday, November 19, 2009 at 1:30PM ANDERSON – Ruby Higginbotham Clark Johnson, 90, of Anderson, died Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at NHC of Anderson.
Born October 16, 1919 in Seneca, she was the daughter of the late William and Etta Teasley Higginbotham. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Gloria Smith of Williamston and Carolyn Owens of Anderson; two sons, Denny Clark and Bobby Clark, both of Anderson; 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was twice married, first to the late James Guy Clark, Sr. and second to the late James Bruce Johnson. She was preceded in death by a son, Jim Clark, a grandson, Travis Clark, six brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sullivan-King Mortuary, Northeast Chapel, conducted by Rev. Gene Burdette. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary, 3205 North Highway 81, Anderson. The family is at the home of a daughter, Carolyn Owens, 123 Ming Lane, Anderson.
