Ann K. Keeney

Anderson, SC - Ann Kelsey Keeney, 92, widow of Lewis H. Keeney, died Wednesday, November 4, 2015.

Born in Springfield, MA, she was the daughter of the late Anna and J. Raymond Kelsey. She was a resident of Enfield, CT until she and her family moved to Anderson, SC in 1959. In 1994, she and her husband moved to Pendleton and in 2012 she moved to the Foothills Retirement Community in Easley. She was a member of the AnMed Hospital Auxiliary for over 39 years and served as president of the local hospital Auxiliary as well as the president of the SC Association of Hospital Auxiliaries. She was a member of the Clemson Woman’s Club and the Pendleton Presbyterian Church. 

Survivors include two sons, Mark W. Keeney (Debra) of Anderson and Ward R. Keeney (Laura) of Greenville; daughter-in-law, Phyllis C. Keeney of Simpsonville; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. 

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Dr. Bradford L. Keeney and a sister, Kathleen Kelsey Colton. 

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Foothills Retirement Community Chapel conducted by Rev. Julie Schaaf and Rev. Morton White. The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
