The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is scheduled for Sept. 24 beginning at 9:45 a.m. on the AnMEd Health North Campus on S.C. 81 N. Registration will be at 9 a.m.

The goal of the event is for participants to honor those affected by Alzheimer’s

There is no fee to register for the Walk, bur all participants are encouraged to raise funds that will allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support and advance research toward methods of prevention, treatment and, ultimately, a cure.

In South Carolina there are more than 95,000 people living with the disease and 199,000 caregivers.  

Nationwide more than 6 million Americans are living with the disease – a leading cause of death in the United States. Additionally, more than 11 million family members and friends provide care to people living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
