John Benca was sworn in Thursday morning to fill the unexpired term for Anderson County Auditor.
Benca, an Anderson businessman and owner of McGee's Scot-Irish Pub, was elected to the office following a runoff for the seat after June's primaries.
Since no Democrat filed for the office, South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster appointed Benca to begin serving as auditor right away.
A recount in the primary race to fill the unexpired term for Anderson County Auditor on Friday confirmed the narrow victory for Anderson Businessman John Benca.
The seat became open when long-time Auditor Jacky Hunter died earlier this year.
