World Polio Day to Feature Event at Anderson Airport

Today is World Polio Day, and in an effort to bring awareness and continued funding to the fight against polio, Rotary District 7750 hopes the fight to eradicate this disease will take new flightwith take-off right here in Anderson. 

The Anderson Rotary district will honor this day with a party and special presentation at the Anderson Regional Airport beginning at 5:30 p.m., which will feature music and food. All funds raised from ticket sales go directly to eradicating polio.

Rotary District Governor Carol Burdette will lead a special presentation to celebrate the success Rotary has had in polio prevention, and offering encouraging words about eliminating the cases that remain.
