A few random news notes for the week:
The consulting firm working with Anderson County on what to build on the vacant lot behind the historic courthouse has suggested that 67 aparment/condominium living spaces should be part of the equation based on their studies. They are also suggesting that mulitiple buildings on the property might be a better option that a single structure.
UPDATE: Corrected to reflect sale not final.
AnMed is considering the purchase of the property on S.C. 81 North which formerly housed BI-LO. Observer sources are unclear if it's the entire property including all the currenty businesses and Case Fuentes Mexican Restaurant on the corner of Simpson Road and S.C. 81, or just the former grocery store building. Details are emerging and we hope AnMed does not take up too much prime retail space for offices. The current occupants of the temporary buildings on the north AnMed campus would be at least among those moving to the location.
