Lenoir-Rhyne Tops Lady Trojans

ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson women’s basketball team nearly erased all of a 16-point second-half deficit, but fell, 72-60, to visiting Lenoir-Rhyne in South Atlantic Conference women’s basketball play Wednesday night at the Abney Athletic Center.   

Anderson slipped to 7-12 overall and 4-7 in the league, while Lenoir-Rhyne (15-5, 7-4 SAC) earned a split of the season series with the Trojans and has won three of its last four games.

The Trojans visit Mars Hill on Saturday for a 2 p.m. contest versus the Lions. Anderson defeated MHC, 73-68, in early December at the Abney Center.
