CLEMSON, S.C. – The Anderson University track and field teams recorded 13 top-15 performances, including seven outings in the top ten on the final day of competition at the Clemson Invitational Saturday afternoon at the Tigers’ Indoor Track and Field Complex.
Sophomore Deniz Hay paced three Trojans in the men’s one mile run, finishing seventh in a time of 4:30.71. Junior Alex Pena earned 10th with a time of 4:36.31 and junior Ryne Welch posted a 13th-place finish, crossing the line in 4:45.55.
A trio of AU runners finished in the top 10 in the 3000 meter run, with sophomore Parks Edwards (9:10.79) notching second. Sophomores Kyle Koby (9:29.17) and Matt Imes (9:45.04) garnered fifth and seventh, respectively.
The Trojans are back in action on Saturday, Feb. 11, at the JDL Fastrack Invitational in Winston-Salem, N.C.
