Farmers' Market in Full Swing

The Anderson County Farmers’ Market is in full swing with local farmers will be on-site with fresh local produce from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m.

“The success of our Farmers’ Market is dependent on residents,” said Anderson County Council Chairman Tommy Dunn. “Agriculture is foundational to our county’s heritage and future growth. Every purchase at the Farmers’ Market pumps money into our local economy, supports our food community and enhances our county’s sustainability initiatives. I encourage everyone to come out for the Grand Opening Day and become a ‘Localvore’.”

“Imagine biting into a juicy tomato, freshly picked from your neighbor’s garden,” said Louis Keasler, Anderson County Farmers’ Market Board member. “The Anderson County Farmers’ Market makes it possible to enjoy fresh local produce grown by our local farmers. When you purchase produce from the Farmers’ Market, you not only give your family the most nutritious meals, but you also boost our local economy.  After all, Anderson County farmers are outstanding in their field!”
