Sheriff's Office Seeks Help in Homicide Investigation
Sheriff’s Office investigators need help in identifying two males known to frequent the area where a homicide victim’s body was found. On April 30, the body of Mark Napier Kirby, 45, was found in a wooded area at
the intersection of S.C. 28 Bypass andNew Pond Road in Anderson. Kirby was homeless and lived in the woods.
The death was ruled a homicide with the cause being blunt force trauma.
Sheriff’s investigators have learned that two white males have frequented the area where the body was discovered. Both men are about 5’8” and slim. The older male is in his fifties and has salt and pepper hair. The younger one, in his thirties, has sandy blonde hair.
Investigators want to identify and talk to these two individuals. No charges have been filed against them. Composite sketches of the males are attached.
