On Saturday, April 10th, the Palmetto Equine Awareness & Rescue League (PEARL) will sponsor the 2010 IRON HORSES RUN FOR HORSES bike rally to benefit the organization’s rescue and rehabilitation efforts for abused, neglected and abandoned animals in the Upstate. Registration begins at 11 am at Timms Harley Davidson, 4110 Clemson Boulevard, Anderson.

The Rally route begins at Timms, with last bike out at 1 pm. Other stops are Hogtails in Pendleton, Neighbors in Townville, The Last Chance in Walhalla, The Dugout in Anderson and the final stop, Bullfeathers in Anderson, where riders can enjoy live entertainment and plenty of great door prizes. Cars are welcome to participate.

Bikers will compete for the $500 Grand Prize and $100 Biggest Loser prize. The top door prize is a new set of Michelin motorcycle tires, which includes mounting. Other prizes are pet health care packages, gift basket with cut & color from Jared Lloyd Studio on Main St.,  free concealed weapons permit class with Lt. Michael Mitchell of the Anderson County Sheriff's Office, a mandolin from Lord Hevy's, an 80-minute massage from Primary Care Aesthetics, and various gift certificates from local restaurants and businesses.

PEARL is a 501 C 3 organization. All proceeds from the 2010 Iron Horses Run for Horses Rally will fund PEARL’s future training projects for law enforcement and first responders, as well as funding the rescue and rehabilitation of abused, neglected, and abandoned large animals.
