Walter Lee Mattison, Jr., 21, of 801 South Manning Street, Anderson, was arrested yesterday and charged with Assault and Battery with Intent to Kill in connection with the March 28 shooting of Cedrick Deon Patterson at706 Perry Street.
Mattison is currently in the Anderson County Detention Center. The bond set on the assault charge is $50,000. The investigation into the shooting is continuing.
The report lists a second victim, Larry Darnell Robinson, 56, a resident of the Perry Street home. He is the victim of an aggravated physical assault that occurred prior to the shooting. That case is still being pursued and no warrants have been issued and no arrests have been made. The wounds suffered by Patterson and Robinson are not life-threatening and both remain in the hospital.
