T.L. Hanna Band Wins Grand Championship

The T.L. Hanna Marching Band received another Grand Championship on Saturday at the Midland Valley Tournament of Bands with a high score of 93.15. 

The T.L. Hanna Band placed first in Music, Music Effect and Visual Effect. The Band also received the Gold Division Award, and the Class IV first place award in addition to the Grand Championship. Wade Murray received the first place overall Drum Major award with a score of 95.

The T.L. Hanna Band’s competition show includes Rhapsody in Blue, Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini and Bohemian Rhapsody. Featured Soloists are Sam Park on clarinet, Reid Staynoff on trumpet and Marquis Johnson on baritone.

The T.L. Hanna Guard Captains are Amber Pettigrew and Amanda Bensen, Guard Co-Captains are Amanda Reed and Brandi Freeman. The Drum Major is Wade Murray. The T.L. Hanna Band President is Adam Chabek. Band Vice Presidents are Brandon Baker, Emily Rossin and Anna Stastny. Band Secretaries are Cesar Diaz, Zaari Quadri and Brittany Simpson.

Richard C. Baskin and Roger Whitt are the Directors of the T.L. Hanna Bands. Victor Mooney, Amy Heintz and Jamie Bailey are the Flag Corps Instructors. Doug Wertz and Christina Sherman are the assistants. Shon Brown and Matt Grubb are the Percussion Instructors and Robert Pettigrew is the Band Booster President.
