Today, investigators with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office arrested and charged Harley Edwards, 29, of Johns Avenue, Belton, with Murder and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime in the stabbing death of James Eric Campbell.  Deputies found Campbell lying in the floor of his home at 243 Sherwood Drive, Belton, while answering an assault call at that address.  He was transported to AnMed Health and succumbed to his injury there.  Investigators believe an argument between the two led to the homicide.

Edwards is currently housed at the Anderson County Detention Center awaiting a Bond Hearing.  No further arrests are expected.
