ANDERSON, SC - Sharon Denise McNeely, age 59, of 207 Hunters Lane, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

David L. Lollis, age 64, of Elliott Circle in Anderson, died recently at his residence. Born in Anderson, he was a son of the late Walter “Doc” Lollis and the late Ruby Bird Gambrell Lollis.
David was a Master Machinist and was associated for many years with the Singer Sewing Machine Company, until he opened his own tool and dye company in Anderson. David valued his personal relationship with his Lord, Jesus Christ. He was a member of Hiram Masonic Lodge 68 in Anderson. He proudly served his nation for four years in the US Air Force during the Vietnam Era. Mr. Lollis was a 1965 graduate of McDuffie High School, after which he pursued further advanced training and education as a Master Machinist.
Survivors include two daughters, Dana Lollis O’Barr and her husband, Ryan of Townville, and Dori Lollis Dahlberg and her husband, J.D. of Greenwood, SC; four brothers, Raymond Lollis (Becky) of Anderson, James Donald Lollis of Anderson, Harrison Lollis of Nixa, MO, and Charles Lollis (Alvina) of Williamston; a sister, Brenda Lollis Campbell (Ronnie) of Nixa, MO, and a sister-in-law, Barbara Lollis of Williamston. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Anna, Lee and Kate Dahlberg of Greenwood and Hayden Chamblee of Anderson. David also leaves behind a beloved pet dachshund, “Doc.”
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a brother, J. C. Lollis and a sister-in-law, Virgie Lollis.
A service celebrating the life of David Lollis will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at 3 PM, with Rev. Randy Blank officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family members will be at their respective homes, and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1 PM until 2:30 PM.

ANDERSON - The Reverend Robert John Wilde, 82, husband of the late Louise Caroline Ritter Wilde, died Saturday, March 17, 2012 at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born November 1, 1929 in Allentown, PA, he was the son of the late John and Nettie Sterner Wilde. He was a graduate of Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA, the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, PA, and received a Master of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. Rev. Wilde was an active member of the Anderson County Democratic Party. He was an Ordained Minister in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Anderson where he also served as interim pastor and teacher.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 207 Broad Street, Anderson conducted by Pastor J. Chris Fischer. Entombment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Sullivan-King Mortuary, Northeast Chapel, 3205 North Highway 81, Anderson.

ANDERSON, SC - Harold Preston “Polly” Perritt, age 74, of 114 LaFrance Road, Anderson, SC , died Saturday, March 17, 2012 at the Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Pickens, County on November 1, 1937, he was the son of the late Bradley Earl and Inez Queen Perritt. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving from 1954-1958. He was retired from the LaFrance Mill and was of the Baptist faith. II Timothy 4:7, I have fought a good fight. I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.
He is survived by one son, Preston Scott Perritt, of the home and Scott’s mother, Joyce R. Bowers of Mountain Rest, his former wife and lifelong friend. He was blessed with many true friends, numerous nieces and nephews, especially Jesse R. Rhodes.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Thomas W. Perritt, of Baltimore Maryland.
A Graveside Service will be held Monday, March 19, 2010 at 4:00 pm at the Memory Gardens, in Clemson, SC, with the Reverend DeLennon Stowe officiating.

IVA, SC - Phyllis Gail Manning, age 72, of Iva, SC, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2012.
She was born in Fort Oglethorpe, GA on November 26, 1939 to James William and Marjorie Smith Sutherland. Phyllis was a member of the first graduating class of Crescent High School. She attended Anderson College where she received an Associate’s Degree. Phyllis was a veteran of the US Air Force and worked in retail management for twenty years. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Iva, where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years.
In addition to her loving husband, Walter Haskell Manning, whom she was married to for thirty four years, she is survived by her children; Marjorie Sisco and her husband, Keith of Selma, NC, Gretchen Shirley, and her husband John of Piedmont, SC, Michelle Hollenback, and her husband, Thomas of Anderson, SC and Kelly Cobb, and her husband, Allen of Hartwell, GA; grandchildren, Christopher Blake Blume, Kaitlin McKayla Shirley, Sommer Skye Phillips, Ericka Nicole Cochran, and Jeffery Chase Brown; and two great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held Monday, March 19, 2012, at 11:00 am at the M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery, officiated by Reverend Roger Estridge, with Military Honors.

CHARLOTTE, NC - Marie O. Robinson, age 92, of 11230 Ballantyne Trace Court, died at Lavine and Dickson Hospice House Wednesday morning at 10:30, following several weeks of declining health.
She founded Coach House Antiques in 1975 and developed a passion for English imports. She loved all the people who visited her shop whether they were regulars or just one-time visitors.
She touched the lives of so many people throughout her life. She was very involved at her church, Holy Trinity Lutheran, where she was the first woman elected to council. She also taught Sunday School and was a member of the church choir.
A native of Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Percy Cummings Osteen, Sr., and Hattie Fant Osteen. She was a music major at Converse College.
She was an outstanding mother to her two daughters, Rosalie and Melanie. She devoted her free time to gardening, bird watching, and enjoying the many pursuits of her daughters.
As a resident of Legacy Heights in Charlotte for the past five years, she became very involved in her new community. She was on the Resident’s Council, the Welcoming Committee, and also participated in the Bridge Club and was a member of the Red Hat Group. She leaves behind many dear friends from Legacy Heights.
She was predeceased by her parents and her loving husband, D. Hunter Robinson.
Survivors include her daughters, Melanie R. Werth and Rosalie Robinson O’Rourke and Rosalie’s husband, Jamie Sean O’Rourke, grandchildren, Audrey Hunter Werth, Caroline Marie Hayes, D. Allen Hayes, Jr., and brother, Bill Osteen, of Anderson, SC.
Graveside Services will be held Saturday, March 17, 2012, at 10:00 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, officiated by Dr. Scott Suskovic. The family will receive friends at 11:00 at The McDougald Family Center.
Fair Play, SC - Ione "Toni" Knuths Smith, 86, of 143 Heron Court, died Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born August 5, 1925 in Ames, IA, she was the daughter of the late Fredrick and Mary Emma Parsons Knuths. She was a loving mother to 8 children and a homemaker.
Surviving are her husband, Donald S. Smith, Jr. of the home; 8 children, Lindsay, Don, Doug, Christopher, Debby, Pierrie, Geoff and Jill and their families and her siblings. She was preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters and a granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held at 10am Saturday, March 17 at Grace Episcopal Church with Father Jack Hardaway IV officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the Parish Hall hosted by Grace Episcopal Church.

ANDERSON, SC - Florence Whitaker-Davis Hart, age 90, wife of Sam Hart, of 704 Fairlane Drive, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at Countryside Village in Easley. She was a former resident of Stafford Springs, CT.
Born in Liberty, SC, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Gertrude Whitaker.
Florence is survived by her husband; daughters: Shirley Geer (Gordon) and Liz Adams (David); sons: Lonnie Davis, Jr. (Judy), Billy Joe Davis (Susan), Tom Davis (Lisa), and Roger Davis; stepchildren: Reverend Thomas Hart (Sally), Carolyn Brown (Jim), and Ray Hart (Susan); sisters: Wilma Rhymes and Francis Self; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren, several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind 3 half-sisters: Linda, Brenda, and a very special half-sister, Patricia Knight.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Lonnie Davis, Sr., a grandson, Jason Davis, and 2 sisters, 4 brothers, and a half-brother.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at 6:00 pm at The Bible Deliverance Church in Anderson. A Funeral Service and Committal will be held in Stafford Springs, CT at a later date.

CHAPIN, SC - David White “Pete” Sanders, Jr., age 82, formerly of Anderson, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at his residence in Chapin.
Born in Spartanburg, SC, “Pete” was the son of the late David White Sanders, Sr. and Katie Young Sanders. He was a graduate of Boys High and was a Veteran of the US Navy. He was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church.
“Pete” is survived by his daughters, Nancy Sanders Dorbandt and her husband, Chris, of Irmo, Lynn Sanders Flanagan and her husband, Bill, of Greer, and 4 grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Doris Lindsay Sanders, parents, and a son, David Erwin Sanders.
The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home Saturday, March 17, 2012, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. A Graveside Service will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park at 11:30 am with the Reverend Dan Batson officiating.

ANDERSON, SC - Ruby Lee Dorsey, age 93, widow of the late Thaddeus, Eugene “Gene” Dorsey, of 89 North Street, passed away Monday, March 12, 2012, at Hospice of the Upstate.
Born in Oconee County, Ruby was the daughter of the late Edward Gantt and Ola Kelly Gantt.
She had worked for many years at Anderson Mill and had retired from Bobbie Dan Manufacturing Company. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Frances Hale, and her husband, Cherry, of Starr; sons, Tommy Dorsey and his wife, Martha, of Hartwell, Carl Dorsey and his wife, Sandra, and Dewey Dorsey and his wife Belinda, all of Anderson; and brother, Tom Gantt, of Easley. Ruby is also survived by 23 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Ruby was predeceased by her husband, parents, and sons: Larry Dorsey, David Dorsey, and Homer Dorsey; grandsons: Michael Hill, Larry Dorsey, Jr., Christopher Dorsey; great grand daughter, McKayla Hill; brothers, Woodrow Gantt, Jim Gantt, Cullen Gantt, and sister, Mary Elizabeth Gantt.
The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home Thursday from 1:30 pm until 2:30 pm and the Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home at 3:00 pm, with the Reverend Curtis Bundy officiating. Burial will follow at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Shirley Gales Dean, age 74, died on Monday, March 12, 2012, at the Rainey Hospice House. She was born in Laurinburg, NC, the daughter of the late Walter W. Gales and the late Bonnie Sellars Gales.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Arthur J. Dean, Jr.; a son, Arthur J. Dean, III of Taylors, SC; a daughter, Lindsay B. Dean, of Greer, SC; two sisters Peggy G. Jordan of Laurinburg, NC, and Dorothy G. Buddin of Walterboro, SC.
A Memorial Service honoring the life of Mrs. Dean will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2012, at 3 PM at St. John’s United Methodist Church, with Rev. Dan Batson, Rev. Dr. Sinclair Lewis, and Rev. Bob Dean officiating. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, from 6 PM until 8 PM.
