Billy G. Jamieson

Anderson, SC - Billy G. Jamieson, 80, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017, at AnMed Health Medical Center.

Born in Anderson on January 11, 1937, he was the son of the late Eugene and Lucille Duncan Jamieson. He was co-owner of the Pendleton Barber Shop for many years. He retired as the Procurement Manager at Dunlop Sports Corporation and later retired again from the Robert Bosch Corporation. Bill served our country in the Army National Guard. He was an avid golfer and a member of Brookstone Golf Course. Bill, with his great sense of humor, enjoyed life and his many friends. He was a faithful member of Concord Baptist Church and the Don Latham Sunday School Class.

Survivors include his wife, Jane, of the home; his daughter, Sharon (Shari) Jamieson Bobo and husband, Brent; and his cherished grandson, Matt Bobo, all of Sarasota, FL. 

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Teresa J. Wright; and brothers, W.H. and Rudolph Jamieson. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, at Concord Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Don Cox. Entombment will follow in the Forest Lawn Veterans Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Members of the Don Latham Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family is at the residence.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Concord Baptist Church, 1012 Concord Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
