Anderson, SC - Cecil Blair Stevenson, 80, beloved husband for 31 years of Micah Judy Vaughn Stevenson, entered the Church Triumphant on March 4, 2017.
Born in Anderson, SC on July 9, 1936, he was the son of the late Blair and Beverly King Stevenson.
Cecil graduated from Boys High School in 1954 and served eight years in the Naval Reserves. He began his 48 year career in automotive parts sales and management and retired from Richard Kay Automotive.
He was a member of Central Presbyterian Church. He was a former Sunday School Superintendent, Deacon, and Elder at Midway Presbyterian Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Sean Stevenson, Chad (Molly) Stevenson, Jerri McConnell, Curt Hollingsworth, Toby (Dara) Jordan, and Jennifer Jordan; grandchildren, Bailey Jordan of the home; Brandon, Brandy (Demetrius Hamilton), Channing, Grace, and Sloan McConnell, Payton Claudson, Dakota (Kelly) Jordan, Austin and Erica Hix; great-grandchildren, Kevin, Kali, Wyatt, Reid, Kylan, and Chasidy; brothers, Sam (Linda) Stevenson and Frank (Ruth) Stevenson; brother-in-law, Jerry Vaughn, and his precious poodle, Sprinkles.
In addition to his parents, Cecil was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Conner McConnell.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, at Central Presbyterian Church conducted by Dr. David J. Bailey and Rev. Beryl Rosenberger. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, at Sullivan-King Mortuary. Family members are at their respective homes.
