Sandy Springs, SC - Benjamin Franklin Wilson, husband of Marjorie Gill Wilson, died Saturday, March 28, 2015 at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born in Anderson, he was the son of the late Robert F. and Charity Black Wilson. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War serving in the Military Police. Mr. Wilson was the owner and operator of Wilson’s Grading Company. He was a member of Welcome Baptist Church where he was a Life Deacon, and served as an usher, on the finance committee and had served on the pastor search committee.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Marjorie Wilson of the home; a sister, Louise Wilson Yeargin of Anderson; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Katherine Wilson Wallace and Rachel Wilson Wright and five brothers, Jim Henry, Leroy, Belton, Joe and Homer Wilson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Welcome Baptist Church conducted by William R. West, Jr. and Rev. Mike Cothran. Burial, with military honors conducted by the Campbell Patriots Honor Guard, will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
