Belton, SC - William Claude Carwile, 80, husband of Faye Carwile, died Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

Born in Abbeville County, he was the son of the late Seth M. and Mary Nance Carwile. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Mr. Carwile retired from Edgecomb Metals in Greenville. He was a member of Second Baptist Church, Belton and the Leroy Campbell Sunday School Class. He was a Mason. Mr. Carwile was a devoted family man who loved his wife, children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Faye Carwile of the home; four sons, Mike Carwile and wife, Robin of Fort Mill, Greg Carwile and wife, Yan of Fort Worth, Texas, Stan Carwile and wife, Angie of Anderson, and Phil Carwile and wife, Lyndi of Honea Path; two stepsons, Ken Bradshaw and wife, Raye and Rick Bradshaw and wife, Sandy, of Anderson; one stepdaughter, Paula Martin and husband, Jon of Anderson; fifteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and his special canine companion, Bella.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Carwile and a sister, Mary Ann Lollis.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sullivan-King Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. T. Dale Lynch. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. Saturday at the mortuary, 3205 North Highway 81, Anderson. The family is at the residence.
